According to latest figures, the count of people aged 100 and above in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
From 2004 and 2024, the number of male individuals reaching 100 has tripled from 910 to 3,100. Over the same period, the count of female centenarians increased by nearly 100% from 7,400 to 13,600.
We are excited to listen to centenarians, their family or companions, about what it has been like to bear witness to the past century’s seismic events and changes.
